Two CRPF personnel were killed, and nine others, including CRPF and Bihar Police officers, were injured when a can bomb, which had been planted by Maoists, exploded during an attempted defusal operation in Dhibra, Aurangabad on Monday. The blast occurred around 1:15 pm when the joint CRPF and Bihar Police team had detected the bomb between Banua Mod and Baranda village, and were awaiting the arrival of the bomb defusal squad. The condition of five of the injured personnel is reported to be critical.
