Zabiuddin Ansari, also known as Abu Jundal, was arrested at Delhi's IGI Airport on June 21, 2012, after arriving from Saudi Arabia on a Pakistani passport. He is believed to have coordinated the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks from a control room in Karachi, instructing the attackers via phone and teaching them Hindi.
Ansari had fled to Pakistan in 2006 after the Aurangabad arms haul case and later worked with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Pakistan’s ISI. Authorities intercepted his calls earlier this year, leading to his capture in Saudi Arabia.
Now in police custody, Ansari has confessed to his involvement in the attacks and revealed details about the planning, including training the attackers on Mumbai's geography and providing them with Indian currency. He is being investigated by multiple agencies and faces questioning in connection with other terror activities across India.
