Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal claimed the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold title with a straight-game victory over Korea's Ji Hyun Sung on Sunday. Saina won 21-13, 21-14 in just 43 minutes, marking her first title of the year after a quarterfinal exit at the All England Super Series.
The world number four showed great form throughout the tournament, especially after recovering from a ligament injury. Saina controlled the match, pulling away from Ji Hyun after a close start at 7-7, and securing a dominant win in the second game.
This victory adds to her impressive record, which includes multiple Super Series titles and a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.
